club cuts is the new release by gummihz. it features two dancefloor heavy tracks spanning from acid to dub house/ techno. on side a, aacid patch, is a serious dancefloor weapon with a characteristic killer tb 303 bassline and airy jazz piano licks, produced back in 2010. 8am groove, on the flip, is a dub cut that, in typical gummihz finese, rolls effortlesly between detroit house and techno. an excellent record cut for the dancefloor!

when we say live in the future it becomes a repudiation of living in the present, and then instantly we are in a state of denial denial has a hypnotic effect on the mind. gutsy 909 claps work with percussion and futurist vocal snippets that warp and chop, whilst haunting chords wrap themselves and sublimate over the body. denial wants you to live in the future, denying the present moment. yet the music speaks in the present. to close your eyes, find yourself lose yourself in the moment and groove.

anonymous is a regular tune in chris liebings sets across the world since summer 2014. the track has been selected by rebekah on her mind sets compilation on clr. anonymous is a subtle groove driven techno tune designed for the dancefloor. on the flip side of clr087 emerson takes us on a cinematic journey with his very own too many people talking (not enough information). a mesmerizing ambient tune that invites us to get into emersons universe. anonymous ep by emerson is surely one clr release not to be missed. its big! rawax proudly welcomes the godfather of ghetto houz muzik rickey houz mon white to the rawax family! houz mon cousin is the famous lil louis & cei bei what words can describe the one and only houz mon? pioneer? party rocker? ghetto houz icon? lets start at the beginning houz mon grew up on the west side of chicago where he was exposed at an early age to chicago, new york & detroit dance music. befor houzmon, or rickkiqhouz was born i went by the name slick master rick in 1987 sign my first record deal with dj international records. the name of my trax brothers and sisters house on 13th street! aka halloween house this trax lunched the foundation and planted the seed of ghetto houz.

we are pleased as punch to welcome guillaume & the coutu dumonts for his freerange debut with the revolution in the cycles ep. the plucky canadian via berlin producer will be well known to most of you through his releases on labels such as circus company, oslo and raum musik or maybe you witnessed the master at work crafting one of his amazing live sets. either way, you’ll know how he likes it, mixing up his deep understanding of rhythm from his years spent playing drums with the unquestioned groove of house and hypnotic beauty of techno. the result is a unique, slightly wonky brand of off kilter house which is perfectly summed up here on this three track ep.

the second wrltd vinyl is from the collaboration between wunderblock and michael chernev a.k.a arcuation. the ep starts with the amazing remix from darren roberts a.k.a. deepbass. it presents his unique dark hypnotic sound combined with the effective driven techno groove. samuele costa a.k.a. scam. delivers the second remix, which is also dark and atmospheric with some propulsive jacking dubbed out drums. on the b-side, there are 2 remixes from wunderblock: mikroplexmix, with its mesmerising swirling atmosphere and punching rhythm, and more relaxing, deep and spaced-out remix with co-production of vladimir kochenov a.k.a. acrob, also the member of wunderblock crew.

this four track ep kicks off with cladistic mutation , a sparse underwater soundtrack with only the gentlest suggestion of rhythm, lots of reverb and tiny little details that float by like micro-bacterial debris. m2 is a more beat driven dub track but is still way below the surface: the kicks are smooth and hunched over, the chords are smeared out in all directions and the atmosphere is lo-fi and grainy. on the flip, grain gets even more energetic, with firm techno kick drums setting a stern tempo as all sorts of aqueous details and spacious effec ts peppe r the groove. there s a heavenly nature to the pads and an industrial texture to the percussion that makes this a cerebral but physical affair from start to finish. lastly, neurowaves closes things down in blissfully dubbed out and horizontal fashion, with large sweeping pads, tweaked filters and evocative little details all placing you firmly under water.

m a n i k returns to ovum with in walks bourbon! a long-standing veteran of josh winks ovum imprint, the in walks bourbon ep marks maniks fifth offering to the label and maintains the high quality weve come to expect from an artist who is comfortably at the top of his game right now. the ep consists of a trio of raw, chunky, house-influenced cuts which show m a n i k diving back in to the underground sounds of his new york roots with a taste of chicago. the a side track wink kd lures the listener in with its catchy groove and hypnotic vocal sample.

käse kool s fifth release, the friends n no ends ep, is comprised of 5 berlin-based producers, each of which brings his own unique sound to ep. a1, appearance, comes from the face behind crude wax, vincenzo maurice. this tune comes with a rough attitude of sheer analogue house. a2, wismut, comes from the man with the plan, nick beringer. this track speaks for itself with its punchy bass-line and direct groove. b1, visions, comes from a newly formed duo who goes by mode7. this promising duo hits it home with their newest track visions as its sweet and sultry pads play with the drive of bass and drums. lastly b2, system is wack, comes from a producer who goes by the name of aurhythm (aka dennis sekyere). this track speaks for itself, as being very rude with it s rough drive but still keeping its own delicate stems

the kestrel (turmfalke) will rise in spring 2015, starting the new label by matthias springer with focus on physical media. the philosophy behind is to invite friends to this special cross-over concept. every artist presents an original in combination with remixing eachother. in the end 4 tracks on one release, no special genre is preset, everything can happen. frank hellmond is the special guest on the first turmfalke release, bringing in his unique deephouse flavour that features some pretty nice vocals from snowflake, while matthias is turning it into a combination of dub and acid ... but just have a listen.

what can be said about kerri chandler that hasn t already been said? the man is one of the greats of contemporary house music, a true legend & one of the most hard working & consistent producers out there today. trionisphere, his (second) lp from 2003 has it all, those gritty drums, the deep garage groove, the church feeling that influences so much of his sound & those bass-lines that he s renowned for are all here, not forgetting the outstanding vocal performances from his long-time collaborator dee dee brave amongst a cast of other guests. the sounds on the lp are wide ranging, from the uplifting latin swing of ye yo ma (mother) to the sparse, pacey, heads down house of it s you we re treated to a glimpse into mr.chandler s sound world across 2x12inchs & we all know that can only be a good thing! trionisphere has always been a fond favourite with house aficionados around the world & hasn t been available for a little while.until now! fully re-mastered, re-pressed & re-released in conjunction with king street sounds, nyc & made available again for 2015 in it s original format with the permission & participation of all rights holders. now s your chance to own a piece of ny/nj house history!

fantastic remastered reissue of a masterpiece of the golden era of nyc deep house, the incredible love is a mystery ep by tropical moon (aka legendary producers nelson paradise roman & blue jean), their one and only release under that moniker. originally released back in 1990 every track here is a killer - the a side features the underground smash love is a mystery with its beautiful emotive pianos, classic lush strings and gorgeous vocal followed by the relentless drum groove of its alright. on the flip we get another club classic, the tribal bouncer jungle house as well as the darker after-party vibe of data bank with its phat b-line, deep chords and superb sleazy vocal. pure class!

with iyewaye, the first solo-ep after the release of his fifth album i am ok last year, oliver koletzki shows himself in a new, but not altogether unfamiliar light: since his breakthrough in 2005 with der mückenschwarm koletzki hasnt sounded this hard. gone is the pop-angle, replaced by a dark sound-aesthetic and raw energy. but even here, in the techno realm, oliver koletzki demonstrates his inimitable sense for melody: thus, the gloomy and driving framework of iyewaye is lit up by a crystal-clear synth-sequence. similarly, ipuza, which hypnotizes by way of reduction and repetition, is funky in its core thanks to a rolling tribal groove. functional, but with heart and soul.

repress 2015 , up first is a rework from hamburgs dj koze, a man with no need for introduction. koze lays into the albums dub track >kawaba<, featuring the voice of japans singer tomomi ukumori. deeply pitched vocals and kozes very own groove give this remix a very special appeal. on the flip, spanish dj and producer affkt, resident of valencias famous barraca club, delivers a peak time tech-house remix of >macleta< which is already causing some storms amongst selected dj sets. more >studio 10< remixes will be released across the next months, watch out!

following gary becks hard-hitting remix of dj rush >she is fine< on bek014, he returns with an ep of solely his own productions. >rascal< brings forward two of his biggest tracks in recent times. the title track, >rascal< returns to garys more familiar sound with swelling pads andsynths clad in fading loops and textures. the track varies in intensity but maintains the groove, as it balances a peak time feel with an almost reflective ambiance. >video siren< is stripped and straight-up techno. it avoids over-complication by keeping the elements to an absolute minimum, highlighting his ability to create atmosphere, tension and drive, using a less is more attitude.

starting in 1990 recording for sheffield label ozone records under the name of panic with a release called voices of energy, which was then licensed to buzz in belgium, buzz 001, buzz then went on to release classics by carl craig and derrick may. he set up his own label in the same year solid groove records. the label had 30 vinyl releases over thirteen years and tracks were licensed by derrick may, terry francis, pete tong, adam x, and carl cox.as well as this he ran another four other label s, textures, dark, dot, and cheap knob gags.
